Delhi election: Raghav Chaddha claims – CAA in election, not NPR

New Delhi: On the Rajendra Nagar seat of Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party has made a candidate for its young face Raghav Chaddha. The Raghav Chadha has said that CAA and NPR will not have any impact in the Delhi election. Along with this, Raghav Chaddha claimed that Delhi’s election will be fought on local issues. He is contesting assembly elections for the first time. Raghav Chaddha lost the South Delhi seat in the Lok Sabha Delhi election.

Raghav Chaddha said, “In this election, the issues will be of the state only. CAA, NPR All the issues are of the national importance and I personally feel that this will not have any effect in the Delhi election.

He said that in the last assembly elections people had sidelined national issues and focused only on state-related issues. Raghav Chaddha said, “National issues are for the general elections and the state issues are there for the assembly elections.” In the  Jharkhand, BJP told people about the national issue and raised it there and the party had to face defeat in the elections. The party did the same thing in Haryana and did not get a majority.

Raghav Chaddha said that the issue of electricity, water and education is important in the Delhi elections because it directly affects the lives of the people. The Raghav Chaddha has been fielded by the Aam Aadmi Party by cutting the ticket of the sitting MLA.

Voting for the Delhi Assembly elections is scheduled for 8 February. The results of the election will be announced on 11 February.
